Jonna McKone
McKone is a documentary filmmaker living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. She aims to re-frame the past and break down oversimplified narratives. She is interested in the ways representation is rooted in the interplay of subjectivity, history, and making what’s unseen visible. Her goal during the residency is to develop an experimental film and collaborate with ArtLab youth to collect site-based images for this film. Filmic scavenger hunts exploring overlooked spaces will be used to make a collective short film about the fabric of the city.
