Susan Meyer + PS 1 Charter School

GestaltungsvorschlagsNovember 29 - February 11Susan Meyer collaborated with High School level students from PS I Charter School to create an in-process mixed-media installation. The work referenced landscape as a metaphor for the psychic and social peculiarities of our time period. She worked with youth to create real and imagined 3D landscapes utilizing photography, mixed media and construction. They incorporated digital cameras in the beginning of the process to explore environments and at the end of project to document finished pieces. Each student was given their own space to work with in the gallery and encouraged to create a 3-D installation piece by building off of the walls and floor.
