History

PlatteForum was founded in 2002, by professional artist Judy Anderson and Mark Smith of East West Partners. They envisioned a world in which PlatteForum could offer creative learning and engagement opportunities for our community’s most vulnerable youth. Their vision extended to the community too; PlatteForum offers free public programs that offer a high degree of artistic excellence. Anderson and Smith’s shared vision and efforts fostered the growth of this organization, one of the first nonprofits in the Denver metro area to offer arts education programming for youth from historically marginalized communities and an urban artistic residency program in one place.

  • Historia

    PlatteForum fue fundado en el 2002, por los artistas profesionales Judy Anderson y Mark Smith de East West Partners. Ellos imaginaban un mundo donde PlatteForum pudiera ofrecer aprendizaje creativo y oportunidades de participación para los jóvenes más vulnerables de nuestra comunidad. Su visión se extiende a la comunidad también; PlatteForum ofrece programas gratis al público que ofrecen un título alto de excelencia artística. La visión compartida de Anderson y Smith y sus esfuerzos fomentaron el crecimiento de esta organización, una de las primeras organizaciones sin fin de lucro en el área metro de Denver que ofrece programación de arte educacionales para jóvenes de comunidades históricamente marginalizadas y una residencia artística urbana en un solo lugar.
