Counting Down Frustrations With ArtLab

What is the happiest moment in your day? What do you do to escape from your frustrations? What are your dreams? These are just a few of the questions current Artist in Residence Kwantaeck posed to ArtLab Interns in order to get them thinking and not only about their frustrations but what actions counter these afflictions. By getting them to think in binaries an emphasis was put on both the negative aspect of frustrations as well as all the positive aspects of life. As we inch closer to the exhibition opening ArtLab interns are shifting into high gear to see their projects to fruition. They are blowdrying sand, painting shelves, and even building mind altering remote controls. Each intern focused on the medium of their choice in order to explore the limits of their imagination and how they relate their creation to the message they wish to communicate. You can find more information about this Learning Lab here. Please join us as we present new work in installation and sculpture by Kwantaeck Park and ArtLab interns.
