Introducing the Spring 2013 ArtLab Interns

PlatteForum is proud to announce the ArtLab Interns of 2013! 16 students, 7 new faces from 12 different schools representing the amazing diverse youth of the Denver area. ArtLab students are referred to the program by counselors, teachers, friends and other adults in their lives. To enter the program the students go through an application and interview process. The students are interviewed by staff, current ArtLab students and previous lead artists. The students will spend their Spring semester working with Creative Residents Kwende “Memetic” Kefentse & Ian “Pho” Swain, going through Artventures and experiencing the process of Autodramas, and collaborating with the MCA for a 2013 Teen Mixed Taste session.Aimee Acevedo, 17, Abraham Lincoln High SchoolSmile like there’s no tomorrow, Laugh as if life depends on it. I’m a writer, and whatever come to mind, I write. Also, I’m crazy into anime. Aubrey Rose, 17, East High SchoolI am a creator in the making. Peak my interest and witness my talents.
