What is home and how do we belong to the story of our environment? Can it be defined in reoccurring landscapes, cityscapes, maps, or environmental acoustics? With these questions in mind, PlatteForum’s ArtLab interns and Annette Isham created the exhibition, Imitation Simulation. The work included a series of projected animations, both drawn and photographic and an immersive soundscape. The exhibition considers how we belong and identify with our environment. Isham also presents animations that visualize the past and future theory of Pangaea, considering the year of a supercontinent and the transnational people that inhabit the geography.
