Jahna Rae is PlatteForum’s first Community Mentee Resident Artist.
From the 2022 Press Release:
Jahna Rae, is a Multidisciplinary Artist and emerging Muralist in Denver, Colorado. She received her degree in Illustration at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in 2017. Jahna Rae specializes in portrait painting and abstraction.
She is exploring topics of spirituality, diversity and identity, symbolism and self-discovery. During Church’s residency she will have the chance to explore her work and ideas further while being mentored by community leaders who share a similar cultural background. Her residency will culminate in an exhibition of large paintings opening on January 13th, 2023 at the PlatteForum Annex Gallery from 6-8 pm.
