The project is titled “Dancing and Drawing a Story: Experiences with Movement and Visual Literacy.” After researching the stories, she will create a movement-based lesson utilizing visual symbols created by herself and the youth. The students will then create movements by experimenting with elements of space, time, energy and body shape. The project will culminate in a performance that incorporates the visual symbols, one of the movement-based lessons, and a performance of the final dance, accompanied by narration.
